Need a push?
It's not always a good idea to help people out; they maybe taking the piss
A man and his wife wake up to pounding on their door. The man rushes downstairs to see what is going on. He opens the door to a drunk, who is soaking wet from the rain and asks him for a push.
"Are you kidding, it is 3AM, go away" He slams the door and goes back to bed. When he gets back up to bed his wife asks him what happened and he explains.
"You should be ashamed of yourself, don't you remember when we were stuck out in the rain in the middle of the night and needed help. If those nice neighbors hadn't helped us out we would have spent the night in the car. Go out and give the poor man a push"
The man got dressed for the weather and goes downstairs to help the poor drunk. He walks outside and calls into the darkness, "Hello, are you still there? Do you still need a push?".
The drunk calls back "Yes, thank you so much, I do"
"Where are you?"
"Over, here on the porch swing"
